From November through April we welcome monthly and season-long guests — a village studio, a farmhouse, a barn, and occasionally our own home when we travel. Furnished, cared-for, twenty minutes from Ithaca and Cornell.
Longer Stays
For the in-between seasons of a life.
Visiting academics and medical professionals. A sabbatical, a semester, a travel contract. Between houses, between chapters, or just wanting a quiet winter near the lake. Our long-term guests arrive to a fully furnished home — a studio, a farmhouse, or a barn, depending on the stay — real beds, a working kitchen, fast wifi, kept by the same two people who host it in summer.

The winter lineup
- The Black Walnut Apartment — most winters, November to April
- A quiet furnished studio for one or two in the village: queen murphy bed on an organic latex mattress, kitchenette, a proper desk for a working season, and black walnut trim milled from our own tree. Two blocks to Main Street. See the apartment →
- Farm Manor — available most winters
- The farmhouse on the property — three bedrooms, a finished lower level, a covered porch, and forest trails out the back. Sleeps up to eleven; well suited for a family, a research group, or anyone who needs real space for a season. See the farmhouse →
- Barn Manor — available most winters
- The converted barn with its open plan, live-edge woodwork, and a jetted tub. A quieter, more contained stay for one or two — or a small group who wants something distinctive. See the barn →
- Baldwin Manor — occasional weeks when we travel
- Our own home opens for a few weeks in the winter when our travels take us away — a restored 1840s house with a wood-fired sauna, pool (seasonal), and room for a larger group. Not reliably available, but worth asking about. See the house →

How It Works
A straightforward process, start to keys.
Start with the application below — it helps us get to know you and is intended for serious inquiries. Each adult (18 or older) who'll be on the lease submits their own application. Once we've reviewed, we may ask for supporting documentation — a government-issued ID, proof of income — and, as part of our standard process, may run a background check; it's how we keep the experience smooth and the rental community safe and respectful for everyone.
After approval, we prepare the rental agreement and send it to you for review and signing. Questions at any point — just ask us; we're happy to help.
