One room, built around one tree.
A black walnut grew on this property for longer than any of us. When it came down, we had it milled, and it became the trim, the accents and the warmth of this studio. The rest followed its lead: wood floors, calming tones, an organic latex mattress on a queen murphy bed that folds away to give you the whole room back by day.
The honest part: it's one room, and it's attached to our own home — we live on the other side of the wall. Guests tell us that's a feature. It's quiet, it's looked after, and if you need anything, your hosts are the closest they could possibly be.

The queen murphy bed folds up into the black walnut wall, and the studio becomes a place to work, read or stretch out. The mattress is organic latex — the kind of detail nobody advertises and everybody sleeps better on.

Worth Knowing
Attached to our home — with your own front door.
The apartment shares a wall with Baldwin Manor, the village house we live in. You have your own private entrance and your own space; we're simply next door if you need us. Guests consistently describe staying here as quiet, cozy and deeply rejuvenating — being attached to a home that's cared for daily is most of why.
Two things to know before booking: the sauna and the seasonal pool belong to Baldwin Manor and aren't part of an apartment stay. And this is genuinely a place for two — if your group is bigger, the farmhouse and barn a few minutes outside the village are built for exactly that.

- Quiet hours 10 PM – 7 AM — we live next door, and so do our neighbours.
- Longer stays welcome in winter — weekly and monthly rates from late fall through spring. Ask us.
